Feels Like this Today

We're so spoiled out here. One day of dumping rains and everything goes to hell in a handbasket. My garage roof leaked. The shop roof leaked. Right into some bins of about 100 or so cast seat brackets. Just FYI, stainless steel doesn't float. This dude on the pan don't care though, he's going for it. First one to comment (on the blog, not FB) with the title, month and year of the mag gets a t-shirt.

Vantastic Monday

Supercross edition. Saw this in the parking lot in Phoenix Saturday night. In a sea of blingy monster trucks, this dude gets it. Had an Oogah horn too...

Love and SX

A good day of gawking at old bikes at the Love Cycles 1st year anniversary shindig today. Bummer about Matt's bike, so glad HE's fine. Great to meet the Bolts crew in person, see Pangea Andy, and a bunch of other good folks, including some surprise visits by friends from way farther north and east escaping the cold. Mike D's sporty engine and frame got dropped off with George from Spartan for some hardtail action in the near future. Way too many neat bikes to blog. Check the story on Chop Cult in a couple hours. We also hit round two of Supercross, watched some bar bangin' and beer swillin'. It's been a couple years since I've made it to a race and I've got say the latest format is much faster paced and makes for a much better show. Still miss the smell of the two-smokers, but oh well. Not sure what this sign meant, but we saw it on the walk back...

Foundry Moto BBQ

Stoked to have a chance to hang out in the ultimate tree fort tonight: Foundry Moto.
Thanks for the hospitality guys!

Katoom!

If you are in Phoenix this weekend, you've got a chance to ride one of these...

Uptown Stars

Check these pics from Rob at Uptown Customs. Both bikes are V-star 650's. Nice work! I gotta say these are two of the cleanest modern jap chops I've seen. One uses our Keystone bars and the other has custom exhaust made with our DIY kit and a 4130 Chromoly Biltwell seat hinge.

DIY Pipe Kit

Every time I see a new twist on the DIY pipe kit it blows my mind. Check this neat way of shaving half of the fish-tips for a unique flared end. Thanks to Brandon out of SLC for taking the time to send some snaps. Fun stuff.

More from the Moon

In case you didn't know how much BMK rules already...

Mag Neato

Got the FXR mags back tonight. No more bedazzled spokes and a second batch of powdercoat that looks pretty close to a natural magnesium. At least that was the idea. Probably just look like stock old mags in pics, but they're a little better in person.

For the Birds

Freshly painted Gen2 flat black lid from OSH here.

Indian Trike?

WTF!? Early rat trike here.
Thanks, Andy!

Gilby Down

Before.

We're so bummed to hear from JD about Gilby's crash yesterday. Leave him a get well comment on his profile on CC. Always a great dude to ride and hang with, and to top it off he just finished this panhead. We sure wish you a speedy recovery Gilby!

After.

Vantastic Monday

Brought to you by Jalopnik. Can you imagine explaining the paint scheme you want to the airbrush artist? Yeah dude, so anyway, I'm thinking a giant, sad looking frog peeping up out of a lake of piss on the moon while some Inca/tiki things play lifeguard. Oh yeah, and a city on a hill in a bubble of course. And hearts, put some hearts on there. The inside looks classy and cozy and that long wheelbase allows for plenty of action.

Hittin' the Pipe

Someday Kim is going to finish this bike and it is going to kill. Love the new pipes, built partially from our DIY kit. Got any pics of your bike with exhaust you've created from our set up? Send 'em here.

Easyriders Road Show, Pomona, CA

Easyriders magazine is in SoCal this weekend flaunting their brand of leather-clad biker BS on LA's Raider Nation. I went there expecting to be bummed by the spectacle, but a good supply of really cool motorcycles had me singing a different tune. Check out the feature on ChopCult tomorrow morning. In the mean time, here's a tease.

California Dreamin'

I like to complain about what a hustle it is to live in So Cal in general and how our area lacks any social significance, but once in a while I get stoked on Temecula. The weather this time of year begs for riding motorcycles and spending time outdoors. On the way home from the shop today, we spotted a bunch of cool cars congregating at a local eatery, so we stopped by to snap a couple pics.

Oregon Iron

Check this super sano Ironhead sent in from Jason up in Oregon. Nice use of the Gen2 Frisco handlebars and Solo Seat. Thanks for the pics dude!
