1:49 Minute Commute
I rode in last night to pack a few boxes and get caught up before the week started. I mounted up this little cheesy video camera to test whether it's worth using or not. Generally this commute is packed with cars, everyone in a hurry, on the phone, doing the hustle. Sunday evenings this place is a ghost town. FXR in hyper speed sounds more like a GP bike, huh? The resolution is much better before Youtube get's it's hands on it, so I gotta figure that out, but otherwise I'm stoked on the mount set up.

thats freakin neat. all the patchs in the road and the shadows make it look like an old reel or something. thought you were gonna split those two cars at the end. kinda made me nervous felt like i was riding 120 in town.
Ha! yeah, I was going to but had to turn right not long after and didn't feel like there was much to gain by getting ahead of 'em just to slow down and turn. I'll do another one tomorrow morning with traffic for a little contrast!
I Know where you live now. lol
nice cali stop at the end.
What did you edit it with?
That's a pretty cool vid.
if you're looking for better quality vids to post, try Vimeo.
Dale I used iMovie on a mac. Ohitson, I uploaded to Vimeo first but it looked even worse. I'm going to do another one today and mess with compression and see if I can get it to look a little tighter.
I have found that videos uploaded to my Flickr account look WAY better than youtube, I think their compression sucks
Ha!
That's great.....AND I appreciate the soundtrack.
No angry "Hardcore" with cookie monster vocals.
not bad at all! what was the camera you used? i've been looking into picking up something like that, to do pretty much the same kind of vids...
Kingkong, it's a GoPro Hero off ebay. $200 for the whole kit from the dude I bought it from. The best part are the nicely made mounts and articulating arms. I may repurpose those those to work with a higher end camera. The wide angle lens on mine is kinda neat but they sell a regular one too. I just filmed a dude riding in front of me last night and you have be really super close to get them very big in the frame.
